The problem
Most starter storefronts either bolt a cart onto a blog or require an expensive monthly SaaS. The goal was a self-contained e-commerce platform with realtime inventory, secure accounts, and production monitoring — built to run independently.
The solution
I built a standalone Next.js storefront backed by Supabase for realtime database operations, file storage, and secure auth flows. Zustand manages global cart and session state, while Sentry monitors production errors so issues surface before customers ever see them.
Key features
- Shopping: product catalog with brands/categories/sub-categories, variants, wishlist, cart, coupons, reviews, quick-view
- Checkout: COD/bank payment, payment-slip upload, order tracking, confirmation emails
- Account portal: orders, wishlist, settings, service requests
- Installation service booking with date/time slots and request references
- Admin dashboard: products, orders, customers, coupons, FAQs, blog CMS, newsletter + subscribers, messages, testimonials, email events inbox, site settings, analytics/stats
- Marketing: newsletter (10% first-order discount), blog, System Builder wizard, Google reviews integration
